Monkeys are not apes. Apes are not new world and you cannot have claws and be a primate. However, you can have a claw and be a prosimian. Do New and Old world monkeyes and apes have nails or claws ? are they on all digits ?
New world primates and the prosimians have claws, old world primates including apes have nails. The nails are present on all digits in all primate species.
